Paint Me A Picture
My illustrative work tends toward the more expressive. I work in inks or acrylics, spilling the images out onto the page, sometimes before they are cohesive. This is in direct opposition to the careful design process where I might go back and forth, tweaking the kerning of a few letters to get it just so. Illustration is an exercise in loosening up, taking a step back, and remembering that time when my art was just for me and just for fun.
